"Alright! Do you have something like that for me?"

"Yep!" Audrey flips through her books and comes to a small inset of a flower. "Do this, it has enough detail to be real."

"Okay! I'm going to need you to teach me blending and burnishing."

"Yeah, I can do that!"

Tasha picks out a pencil crayon and starts laying color onto her flower.

Audrey settles in to color her witch's hat.

Eventually, Tasha finishes her flower. "There!"

She drops her pencil and massages her hand. "Ow."

"Yeah, pressing too hard can do that. It's especially bad when burnishing."

"Look at what I've done though!" She holds up her flower.

Audrey shows her witch. She's dark-skinned with pink raiment with gold edging.

"Very nice!"

"She's dark-skinned after this girl I've been crushing on at work. Maybe after this I'll get up the nerve to ask her out, hm?"

"The Rose Bowers does do that to people. Can you show me how to blend now?"

"Certainly. You just take the blending agent and smear it onto once of these smudge sticks, and then rub that over the paper in the little areas of the same color to blend it and get the color down into the kerf..."

Tasha smiles as she goes through the motions. She's a quick learner.

Audrey's settled in to her rhythm now, and teaches burnishing equally well.

Tasha finishes her rose beautifully.

"And that's almost our time. How was it?"

"Surprisingly easy, actually? It went okay."

"Just a mental block you had, is all. Coloring doesn't have to be scary. You can share it with others."

"I guess so. We did that here, at least..."

"You're a brave girl. I'm sure you can manage. Do you want to book another appointment now?"

"No thank you, this was quite enough for right now."

"Enjoy your stay at the Rose Bowers." She curtseys, and sweeps out.

Well that was surprisingly tolerable.
