"Can I see?"

Audrey flips through the book. There are, indeed, suggestively shaped flowers.

"An... adult adult coloring book. Of course."

"I bet there are less lewd ones as well, but this one matches my mood at the moment."

"The Aphrodia Essence keeping you warm, hm?"

She blushes. "Yes."

"Anything I could do to help you with that?"

"No actually, I'm content just to simmer for right now."

"Alright. May I pet your hair?"

"Certainly!"

Lily shifts in behind Audrey at the end of the couch (which expands invitingly to let her in) and sits so that Audrey can lean up against her and draw.

Audrey coos softly as Lily starts to fingercomb her hair, and gets back to work on her coloring page.

Lily watches, fascinated, and occasionally points out color combinations or places that need a little extra shading. She catches Audrey with the wrong color in her hand once.

"This detail work can be tricky," says Audrey. "But we're nearly done the page. How long has it been?"

Lily checks her phone. "Like forty-five minutes."

"Yeah, these can take a while. Now I need to blend and burnish it to bring it up to professional level quality; do you want to keep watching or nah?" 

"I'm comfortable with you and it's not like I have anything else to do. I'll watch."

"Do you want a turn at the burnishing? It always makes my hand cramp up."

"Depends on what burnishing is. Can I do it easily?"

"Yeah, it's pretty straightforward. You just go over the previous color in a lighter color of the same hue really really hard so that the color gets down into the grain of the paper. It produces a shiny, glossy effect that makes the result look better."

"Sure, I can do that!"

"Blending first. This is the toughest part because if I use too much wood alcohol I could damage the page. Quiet please."

Lily shushes and lets Audrey get on with her work, watching over her shoulder as the artwork progresses.

It takes about an hour, but eventually the wood alcohol has smeared the color out all across the page, producing an effect not dissimilar to felt pens, but more controlled.

Lily leans against Audrey's shoulder and closes her eyes and drifts a little.
