Tomas peers at the tome for a minute. "I have absolutely no idea. We should not open it until we have knowledge of its functions."

Nod. "If necessary, Lhín would resist most enchantments laid within it, and is more retrievable in the case of other negative consequence. It seems unlikely to be necessary, however. The Abadarans should have a method for evaluating even the strongest of items, and can be trusted not to take it for themselves."

Tomas nods.

Soon enough, it's time to sleep.

The time to practice with her new spells has helped. The quirks of Minor Image aren't quite the same as Silent Image, and Shadow Trap has its own oddities. After testing her spells out a dozen times, though, she basically understands how everything works.

Sleep, and up for the next day. They might even make it to Magnimar today!

The hours of travel are long. The ocean near the shore is seemingly empty. Strange creatures move along the edge of the swamp.

The sun traces an arc across the sky. They don't stop at night. The coastline curves and curves until they're facing straight east.

The lights of Magnimar glimmer in the distance.

She holds up the Dancing Lights and keeps her eyes out, especially in the dark. They're close enough to Magnimar that any large threats should have been handled, but there might still be something hungry with a taste for well-preserved corpses or similar.

There are no predators hungry for well-preserved corpses in the waters surrounding the city.

Yanor pulls the raft into the docks. He stretches for a while before stepping off. "I don't know how long we have before the raft collapses. We need to hurry."

Tomas lugs one of the packs onto the dock. "Where to? The bank? My place?"

"Will the bank still be open at this hour? If we request the Raise today they may have it prepared tomorrow if we are fortunate, and all things are simpler with that finished. Also it would be better not to haul this all around indefinitely."

Anytool to the same hauling construction she has used before, and she helps drag the (covered and hopefully hidden) valuable objects off the raft.

"There should be someone still awake at the bank. I expect a surcharge but that won't be a problem." Tomas helps load the rest of the valuables off the raft.

"It won't." She will... make sure all the wheels are working right once they're on mostly-flat ground and light the way as they push the Anytool cart. Yanor's assistance would be appreciated, this is heavy and she is not very strong.

Yanor is not incredibly strong... but Tencednil is remarkably weak. He does most of the work. They push the cart across the quiet city and up the long slope to the district of Naos. Few people are awake at this hour and fewer are out on the streets.

A cart makes pushing hundreds of pounds up a hill easier, but it is still difficult. And her sorcery has not seen fit to give her Unseen Servant. Between the light source and her better vision in the dark, though, she can get them to the bank without feeling totally useless.

What does the nearest Abadaran bank of Magnimar look like? ...wait, no, not with this much money. What does the big bank look like? She will guide them there.

The Cathedral of Abadar in Magnimar is a sprawling stone structure that overlooks the lower city. It was bustling when she first arrived in Magnimar by teleport, but at this time of night it's almost silent. Continual flames light the interior. Within the main hall are a few guards and a lone banker.

A light bobs in, followed promptly by a Tencednil.

"Greetings. Ten Absalom pounds at one to one the bank will prefer to handle this exchange as for known successful adventurers." She hasn't actually done specifically this before but she does know some of the forms.

The banker looks up. "I'll take that. Please follow me." He stands up and leads her into a side room.

Yanor and Julen push the cart in after her.

The guards flank the door outside the room. The banker spends a few moments getting settled before looking at the party and the cart. "What can we help you with tonight?"

"We have several hundred pounds of gold and other assorted valuables to convert into a more useful form, and we wish to purchase a Raise Dead and the associated Restoration services. The body is already Reposed."

...and really she should be leaving this to Yanor, as the leader, shouldn't she. Oops. Well, she made the bet, she gets to present her evidence.

Yanor isn't planning on interrupting Tencednil. She seems to be handling this fine so far.

The banker's eyes sharpen. "I will need to inspect the gold. Are the other assorted valuables magical? Are they safe to touch?"

"I believe most of the non-gold value is in various magic items. We know of nothing which is unsafe to touch and we have observed no negative effects thereof; Tomas has observed them and believes he would have spotted a curse but it is possible he and we missed something." Usually she would just say yes, but being scrupulously clear about your risk with Abadarans is only polite. She's not trying to get away with anything here.
