Lhín drifts a bit upwards. Zombies can't jump well, she thinks.

The second zombie lunges for Tencednil—

And they are both covered in a Burst of Radiance.

Both zombies are turned to ash by the brilliant light. The one who leapt for her crumbles away mid-air.

Oh good.

Lhín isn't at her best, but it will have to do. She already knows where the amulet and the onyx are. Everything else is more trouble than it's worth to retrieve. In, scoop the easy things up, and... she starts the return journey, up and out of the sewers.

Tencednil travels back through the winding caves, across the rivers in the large cavern, and into the oddly-shaped tunnels. She reaches the first ladder unaccosted within twenty minutes.

The old stone maze is as confusing as ever. She's perhaps a little over halfway through when—

"A thing there! Many mouths and squishy! I think acid and it spits!"

A horrifying mass of flesh and eyes emerges from a crack in the ceiling.

She's not going to be able to kill it. She just can't do enough damage to it to have a chance, and even if it is knocked out by a Color Spray she wouldn't know how to aim a bolt. Spitting acid means she probably can't just slowly drain it with Acid Splashes.

Up to fifteen feet away. How does it like a Color Spray? She'll pull on the dark to amplify this one.

The gibbering mouther is unaffected by the vivid cone of colors.

Drat. A Dazzling Blade on Lhín's disk, then. She flies up and discharges it. Does that seem to work?

The gibbering mouther's eyes blink rapidly in confusion. It's blinded.

Success! She flies away. Dazzling Blades are easy to use, so she doesn't have to stay in close.

The gibbering mouther lets out a horrible cacophony of maddening shrieks. It spits a stream of black acid that covers Tencednil's face.

She scrapes at her face, trying to get it off. It doesn't work that well. She's not particularly burned anywhere, but her eyes... are not particularly functional. Hopefully only for now.

Tencednil hears something slam into the ground and lumber in her direction.

She needs to run. Fortunately she should have a moment before its vision returns. "Tell me where to go!"

"This way!"

She makes her way towards the call. Hopefully this will work.

The sound of the horrible creature's shrieks follow her as she runs away. More acid slams into her back.

Again she scrapes it off, but she thinks a bit gets her eyes. Any clearing they were doing is lost.

"It runs!"

Oh thank you Lhín, very helpful. You can't run if you can't see. "How far?"

"Twenty feet!"

A Burst of Radiance, dropped about twenty feet behind her. She's not going to be perfectly accurate. That's fine, she'll be within ten feet of it.

Then she makes her way back. If this doesn't work, she'll need all the distance she can get.
