When Katherine is not necessarily zeroed but good to wait for a bit Haru will provide the person who wanted a selfie with a selfie.

She's delighted and thanks him quite politely.

Cricket's in a decent mood and will also do a selfie if they don't push their luck by trying to make conversation.

The selfie is more than enough!

Now it is time for Red Lobster. Do they have a lobster tank for Cricket to stare at.

That will keep him occupied till his fish order arrives.

And she will get a seat next to Haru so they can guide off the last of the backlash

Two of Katherine's friends at the next table speculate not quite quietly enough on how long it'll be before they're dating.

"...Hey, we can hear you you know. Please cut it out."

(the girls mumble apologies)

"In general you should assume an esper can hear you from at least twice as far away as a normal person."

More apologies.

"Hey, if anyone has non-personal questions for Traceless and Cricket, now's a good time to ask."

A couple of people want to hear dungeon stories

This guy is an artist and wants to know if Cricket will pose for sketches of how his wings attach.

This person wants to know Haru's opinion of depiction of espers in the media and fiction.

"There are lots of pictures of me on Traceless's blog you can stare at if you want to draw me."

Haru's full of dungeon stories. Regarding the media - "I don't consume a ton of more modern fiction, I'm a classics guy, so most of what I read doesn't have any espers in it, but when I've seen bits and pieces of it - they write very fast and loose with the logistics, ignore the support staff, play up romance to the detriment of professional characterization, and are really inconsistent about how backlash affects their characters and how much of it accumulates from how much power use."

Artist guy accepts being linked to the blog by Katherine.

Various people will ask questions of varying thoughtfulness about dungeon stories.

"Do you have any recommendations for non-fiction that would be a good resource for somebody interested in writing about espers and wanting to be at least broadly accurate?"

"I think blogs are better for this than books - mine takes more of a bird's eye view than anything you could use to write about made-up characters, but some of my blogroll has more of the memoir from the trenches nature, like Extrasensory or Hookshot."

"I will look those up, thank you. I'm only writing fanfiction right now but I have hopes of being published someday."

"Your writing is already way better than a lot of published writers! Also, you've read Les Miserables in both French and English right? Traceless has been reading it in French, I don't know if he's finished it yet, maybe you'd like to share your thoughts on the translation?"

"Well, I've only read one translation so I can't really compare them but..." and she will go on for a little bit about Les Miserables, with quite astute commentary.

Haru is interested in translation and has fresh thoughts on Les Mis and will talk about that all through the rest of dinner over his lobster mashed potatoes if nobody else has anything to interject.

The arrival of dinner keeps everyone busy.
