Sable has a thought at that. Nictitating membrane, maybe? Like frogs have? Give all of them the ability to just ignore dust and other eye irritants? Hm. It'd need to eat some frogs for that, but could be handy. Of course it can just eat the dust, get rid of it as soon as it's in contact with any host, but some powders might be toxic and have weird effects that it doesn't know how to counter yet, so being able to just block them altogether is better.

On that note, it should probably get samples of every poison and toxin Konoha knows about and learn to counter them all.
