Wangji is helpfully holding the baby so that hugging is enabled. He bows. "Jiang-guniang."

She bows back once she's hugged her brother enough. "Lan-er-gongxi. Thank you for helping my brother. Who's this little one?"

He holds out the baby. "Lan Yuan."

"Awww, aren't you a cutie. What's he doing all the way out here?" she asks, blithely assuming this is some random Lan cousin or something.

"He is ours."
