Most people would find intimidating the idea of suddenly moving away and start a new life at a new High School. But Temperance took it as just an opportunity to enjoy new things, make new friends, and go new places. And it was so nice that she met Gabriel and Erin. They are very friendly, and allegedly "The Work Juice Café" is everyone's favorite meetup place for all kind activities, including this tutoring program that pair up students across the different high schools, which is a neat idea. Especially, Even if Temperance haven't done any official tutoring before. But Erin thinks her grades are good, and the tutoring program's organizer is rather friendly.
He giggles, "Nothing spooky back here except the basement windows over there," he motions to the greasy, almost blacked-out windows of one of the nearby buildings, as he heads over to a fire escape on another building. He jumps up and catches the bottom of it and climbs up over the railing. Then he lowers the ladder attached to it so she can climb up without having to jump, "Climbing, as promised."
"Oh, thank you. Remind me to try getting the ladder myself next time, useful skill." She climbs up easily enough.
"Can do! Have you done this sorta thing before? Parkour, exploring places we're not supposed to explore, climbing buildings, that kind of thing?"
"Let's say I have a skill-set very consistent with the kind of activities you just said. But I can neither confirm nor deny have break into places such as an old warehouse."
He turns around to point at her as he starts making his way up the stairs (thus going up them backwards), "I think I'm going to like you," he laughs.
"Right, if you're not a novice at this, I won't give you the easy mode." And he turns back around to lead her the rest of the way up the stairs and out onto the roof. "Though, I was just gonna set up here, so maybe we can do the challenge run next time," he adds, motioning to the picnic table set up in a sheltered corner.
"Ooh, you did this for Francine? I can see why she would enjoy teaching you." She says after reaching the picnic table.
"Sure! She's great about this sort of thing - and she can keep up, too. She does cheer, you know, the training that goes into that makes you fitter than most people probably think." He hops up to sit on the table, setting his bag beside him so he can unzip it and pull out his muffin. Nom.
"Oh, yeah. I tried it for, like two weeks. It's intense. Which can be fun. But it can be very intense."
"So I hear. Francine is pretty built, really." He smiles a little dreamily, and then shakes his head.
"So, gonna teach me, teach?" He tugs his binder out of his bag and plops it down on the table beside him.
"Can do!" And he starts in on that, between bites of his muffin, showing her what they were working on last session and the work he should complete sometime in the next week.
Meanwhile, another customer steps inside the Café, looking around the main floor for signs of Erin.
Robin, peering over the railing again while avoiding his homework, grimaces. "Ugh, what's that asshole doing here."
Ezra tries - in the most polite way possible - to pull Robin back into homework. "Dunno? Looking for Erin? What's your problem with him?"
"Oh, you know, he's all," he turns back towards Ezra, sticking his nose up into the air comically, "'I'm too good to speak to you, peon, get out of my sight', and all of that." He shrugs, going back to normal, "Not that he'd ever actually go so low as to talk to me."
Ezra distractedly looks down at Caine before looking back at Robin. "I guess he gives that vibe? I don't know much about him to tell you."
Robin shrugs, "We used to be... sort of friends, is all. Before he moved schools. Guess it makes sense he'd be different after what happened, but still, doesn't have to be an asshole about it." He shakes his head, turning back to his homework.
Caine catches sight of Henry, Gabe and Gabriel after a moment. He sighs subvocally, but forces himself to head for their table.
"Where's Erin?" He asks tersly once he reaches them, interrupting an explanation of Gabriel's.
Caine nods at Gabe, and his eyes flicker over to Henry briefly.
"...Fine." He glances down at his work, noting a mistake, "You should pay more attention to your own work, let the tutor do his job," he says shortly.
