Most people would find intimidating the idea of suddenly moving away and start a new life at a new High School. But Temperance took it as just an opportunity to enjoy new things, make new friends, and go new places. And it was so nice that she met Gabriel and Erin. They are very friendly, and allegedly "The Work Juice Café" is everyone's favorite meetup place for all kind activities, including this tutoring program that pair up students across the different high schools, which is a neat idea. Especially, Even if Temperance haven't done any official tutoring before. But Erin thinks her grades are good, and the tutoring program's organizer is rather friendly.
Temperance also accepts the hug, and giggles at it. She then goes over to order, and takes a moment too long picking up a second kind pastry. Just because, then she goes over to be introduced to Erin and Gabriel's tutees.
She leads her over to the table in the corner while Gabriel waits for his own order.
"Hey, you two. Temperance, this is Henry and Gabe," she sets one of the coffees in front of Henry and settles into the chair beside him, setting to work dissecting her muffin with the dull butter knife that came with it and its butter. "Henry and Gabe, Temperance," she adds, "She just moved here at the start of term."
Henry lifts up from helping with Gabe's school work and smiles at Erin fondly, but frowns at coffee. "Thank you-".
"And he needs all the caffeine, so double thanks." Gabe interjects, while lifting the cup to Henry's lips with a remark easy. "Nice to meet you, Temperance."
Henry is vaguely annoyed that he can't say "I will pay you back" but doesn't waste a single drop of coffee.
"You can call me Temps. As Erin said, just moved here with my dad. Still figuring out the hot spots."
She shoves her plate away with the muffin bottom still on it and takes a bite of the fluffy top. "Mm..." she swallows it down and turns to look up at Temps, "That was pretty quick work! Like Gabriel said, there's more tutees than tutors in the program, but I still didn't expect you to pick one up right away." She frowns, "I hope Francine is recovering alright."
"Oh, I am of the philosophy that there is no point in passing up chances."
Henry does not give a wistful look at the bottom part of the muffin, like he wishes to confess anything to it. Neutral face, while neutrally taking a bite.
Erin does not smile at Henry - let the illusion stay in place until he's more comfortable letting her feed him, if that ever happens. She smiles at Gabe instead, "Some of us are in it just to help, more than for the extra credit." She looks over at Gabriel, making his way through the tables towards them with a tray, "And some of us are in it for those and- other reasons," she stifles a giggle as he nearly runs into another patron, distracted by watching the triplets' table across the room.
Gabriel sets the tray down on the table and gives her a questioning look in response to her stare. She just smiles at him, so he shakes his head and sits, "I picked up your order too, Temperance," he tells her, nudging the tray over to her as he removes the two drinks and plate of scones he'd ordered himself. "J should be out any moment," he adds.
Fenris is watching a video that Trevor is showing him. He snorts before resuming whatever work he is doing at his laptop.
"Thanks! Well, honestly, I am doing it just to see how it works. And because I wanted to meet the people from the other high school."
"Well, you've met three of them now, then. J, Henry and Gabe all go to Riverside High."
"Point," J agrees, "Then yeah, I guess I am a Riverside inmate. Hey Gabe, Henry," he adds. He picks up the cup with a tea bag trailing out of it from the table, raising it at Temps in a 'cheers' motion, "Thanks!"
He laughs, "It's J. It's just Gabe that calls me that. I could be an author with a name like HJ Theobald, though, maybe I should go for it."
