Most people would find intimidating the idea of suddenly moving away and start a new life at a new High School. But Temperance took it as just an opportunity to enjoy new things, make new friends, and go new places. And it was so nice that she met Gabriel and Erin. They are very friendly, and allegedly "The Work Juice Café" is everyone's favorite meetup place for all kind activities, including this tutoring program that pair up students across the different high schools, which is a neat idea. Especially, Even if Temperance haven't done any official tutoring before. But Erin thinks her grades are good, and the tutoring program's organizer is rather friendly.
"Speaking of studying," Gabriel murmurs. He nods across the room, "There's the two we're tutoring. I'll leave you to make introductions-?"
"Oh, no you don't," she gets a grip on Gabriel's shoulder, "You can't escape so easily. You know Felix better than I do, anyway. Come on," she tugs him over to Felix's table, "This way, Temperance!"
Sure she follows them to their usual corner, briefly distracted by the displayed food.
In their usual corner, they find the triplets. Felix is testing frenetically.
"J.D. says he is in swim practice."
"He just linked to a youtube video about fan fiction tropes. He just doesn't want to come. Anyway, I don't think we will find a substitute in short notice."
J pushes himself up from the back of a nearby booth, hands in the pockets of his apron, "Really, no one at all? I thought the program saw a bunch of expansion this year?"
"More people are asking for tutoring than signed up to give it," Gabriel explains as they reach the table. "And your situation's a little unusual, isn't it?" He looks to Felix, "Felix," he greets, "Fenris, Trevor. Francine couldn't make it?"
"Bad case of strep throat. Her sister, was very clear about she needing rest. Apparently, it was a stressful week for their family."
"What's unusual about your situation?" She asks J, before the names click. "Does the sister happens to be named Meghan?"
"I'm a chronic skipper," he explains cheerily. "And yeah, that's the one. You know them?"
"The standard school system is just not really a suitable learning environment for you." Trevor says in a mock serious tone.
"Oh, well. I am their half-sister. We had a big family dinner with the other other half-siblings. It was stressful, yeah."
"Oh wow, that sounds so uncomfortable!" Erin frowns, "Strep throat is awful. Do you know how she's doing?" She directs this to both Temperance and the Brights.
"She was fine when we met, but looking back, she was definitely just coming down with it. But it was nice to meet her, she is nice."
"But if you use my phrasing, you're more likely to convince that you have a point. At least for the people that have orbited around the sun more times than we have. Anyway, that makes you half-siblings with Ezra, right?"
"True," J admits, before tuning back in to the other conversation, "Nice, yeah, that's one of the first words that come to mind with Francine. She's great."
"Ezra's around here somewhere, isn't he? I'd almost forgotten that he and Aaron were related to Francine."
Gabriel looks up from a textbook he'd opened and started looking through at some point, "He's tutoring my cousin, they're probably upstairs."
"Huh, I am neutral about meeting him? I mean, I got around to properly talk to Aaron and Francine, before the stressing." She is serious, but then she perks up. "Hey, they wanted to introduce me to you because of the tutoring program? I could replace her while she gets better? I mean, we did have a lot of in common, on top of some genes. Or maybe we had a lot of in common, because of our genes."
"You just said that to the most different set of identical triplets in the world, but that sounds like an idea."
