"I can only do it myself once I can cast fifth-level spells, and even then I can only raise people who died recently. If I wanted to resurrect someone who has been dead longer, I'd need seventh level spells, which very few people have. But at home I could purchase their services."
"Osirion's not in the game. I don't have the raise dead rules memorized, none of my characters have reached high enough level for a rez to make sense."
Nod. And they can go through the rest of Mahdi's spells too, at least until Tongues cuts out.
I guess resurrection's on the map now, if it wasn't before. Not sure if anything else game-changing is. They can probably heal a bunch of stuff we can't.
The scrying's - probably not impossible with our magic but more accurate and straightforward than anything we knew how to do.
Yeah. One hour of effort.
It's possible that Dennis could learn some of this stuff. We'd probably have to pay them for the instruction.
Paying them isn't actually a problem. I don't want to just give them huge sums of money on their sayso but we're not short of it.
Yeah. I guess if it can actually be taught we should possibly rope in, like, actual responsible people. But it's high-effort, it's supposed to take years of study to get to first level. I imagine it doesn't take that long to be able to cast any spells at all.
I'm honestly really curious how his temple will work out, whether people will start getting spells that way.
"Well, that sure is a lot of terrible people hanging around the vampire slayer. We should have asked what a vampire slayer is exactly."
"I'm really worried for all of them! Maybe after a few more scrys they'll take their futures at all seriously."
