Plane shift can drop you up to five hundred miles from your intended destination.
This time they land in some woods, at sunset, near a remarkably flat and smooth path that looks like a lava flow or something.

I mean, He does give out the holy water, but I guess that's less dramatic. Hopefully Faith doesn't give them a heart attack or anything.
Maybe so.
Y'know the last time we were rude to someone who was trying to help they got turned into a vampire.
Yeah. I guess I just kinda wanna keep not being rude. But this hardly calls for keeping them from discovering the existence of Faith.
Cool, thanks. And I can let Dennis know what's up. And then we can figure out most of what they're capable of.
They leave the IHOP and stand at the edge of the street watching cars.
"It seems like it'd be tragic living in this society unable to afford one."
"I'm going to put it on the list of questions to ask. How much is a car, how much is the use of a car."
"Until shown how to do so safely. So we can just ask someone."
He waits until there's a man going by alone. "Excuse me? Can you show us how to safely cross the street?"
The man looks at them and looks at their armor and frowns and - "Uh, you look both ways first to make sure there aren't any cars."
"It does kind of seem like it'd be that straightforward though. Like, they can't hit you if there aren't any on the road."
"Yeah, see, I think we should go for it."
They wait until there are not any cars coming in either direction. They madly dash across the street.
The street they're crossing is really larger than the ones you're supposed to cross this way. In any case, they don't get hit. They do get some concerned stares.
