A short teaching then placing and leaving is generally how we do things, but of course I cannot speak for everyone. It would be good to know if it's an option. 

"It probably is, if they don't mind placing the eggs with volunteers who can socialize them, like Tapa's."

Some might mind that. The thought would be that a socialized Draak is not a 'true Draak'. Taking the eggs home would be the thing to do in that case. There would be most of a season while they developed to do that.

"I don't think we have a good prospect of handling unsocialized citizens. So they should plan to bring them home if they don't want to get them foster situations here."

The choices 'break the egg, give it to Amentans, arrange for it to be returned to Newhome, or don't have it in the first place' are a wide enough array, I think.

"I remembered there being some sort of taboo on breaking eggs, was that overinterpreted?"

Oh, it's horrible! Just about the worst thing! That's why having it on the list makes the other options look better.

Sure.

"I'll book her. Will anyone else want to join you or would separate lessons be preferable?"

I see no strong reason for separate sessions but I am not sure how dedicated others would be. Perhaps a daily session that anyone can join if they wish, with minor rewards for progression, would be a good way to teach us all. If all of us learning your language is desired. 

"It seems good to me... Bloom didn't suggest rewards for progress, what's the significance of that?"

I assume she occasionally grumbles about wanting things but makes little effort to go out of her way to get them? Learning is its own reward for some, as her, but not all. And a task such as a new language, not the beautiful art of earth and fire and water and air that is magic, does not hold the mind as well. A clear reward is necessary to motivate, there.

"I think with little children they use stickers but you probably have something else in mind."

I would have to think of something. I don't know if this is what we want to do. I am thinking aloud. Maybe they will learn if we tell them it's expected if you wish to work with Amentans.

"It reduces friction in the long run if you're literate, at least."

They say 'I am literate' in the Draak language if you assume a color or two.
