"...Small but not negligible proportion of Earth. And more Earth than any one other thing."

"Are there duplicates of any of the other things?"

"Duplicates, yes...if there are any other triads then I haven't found them."

"Earth a triad?"

"No, no, there's more than three Earths, just, I haven't found any others with as many as three. Yet."

"What're your earliest and latest Earths?"

"Latest Earth is I think witch one. Earliest is hard to say because there's some worlds that could be Earths, I'm not sure, I don't know or remember or whatever enough early history to be sure."

"Huh. You could try triangulating by which languages you remember from there, maybe."

"Yeah, I should try that."

"You must speak so many. I've just got English and French and I'm getting started on Tagalog."

"Loads. Keeping 'em straight's harder, like, English is fine because I'm talking to you and you're speaking English, but a lot of sentences are running through my head that have words from half a dozen languages in them."

"Pas parfaitement, mais c'est generallement suffisant." 

"Like the Canadian I am I took French in school, like most people I did not by this experience attain fluency, and then I awakened and it turned out language-learning conversations are a really good sweet spot for almost the entire range of possible backlash without making me internally cringe at what a waste of time it is, so I am now fluent in French and paying a friend of Ren's to accept phone calls post-dungeon in which he teaches me Tagalog."

"That is so cool and I would be delighted to teach you weird languages at some point when that's the best use of conversational time."

"Is the magic one learnable or do you have to magically acquire it?"

"Uh...I think you could learn, like, words, in it, but one of the ways it is magical is that it can generate new words when it encounters new concepts, so I don't think learning it could get you the same level of utility in it as magically having it."
