Iryi is walking past the old Wall remnant, running her hand against (newer) fense posts and smiling at the sun when she disappears.
She'll fasten it on with more rapid weaving.
"It'll start dissipating over time," she explains. "I think this one will have - an hour and a half, until the end?"
(eee)
Should she try it on someone else too? Or begin making a first attempt at special threads? Or something else?
She can do that! Do they have somewhere outside with sun? She can spin light coming in through a window, but outside would be better for this.
They could look at the roof? It would be good to know if there's somewhere closer by she can use. (...It's weird to think she can't just step outside. But this world is different.)
"Yeah! It's this way!"
And she leads the way, her friends following.
The view of the city is pretty nice, from up here.
Wow. She stares.
But she has work to do. Is there sun? Can she see sun hitting any plants, that might help with this thread.
There's sun! It's mostly risen, the sky still a bit pinkish. Somebody also has a set of plants up here, a small attempt at a roof-top garden, which the sun is hitting.
And she can see some trees around.
"This should be good! I can try in the park later and see how much difference it might make." She gets out some of her tools - she can do this without them if she needs, but it's easier with them.
Gets to work. Remembers what she needs from the weaving, aims the making for it. She can use the still-partially-dawn while it lasts, then just the sun of the morning. (Between her fingers, the sunlight coalesces, something like fibers sparkling in the air and then more of the thread. This one looks slightly different from the other.)
Nausicaa is amazing and interesting. And pretty.
But the way she's helping Nausicaa is her work so she will pay her attention to it.
She winds thread into more of the balls and little skeins she carries, then works on making more.
None of the others seem to feel particularly talkative. Sue's off nearer the edge, looking out over the city.
If no one stops her, she will work for about an hour and a quarter. Then stop. "I should try it before making more like this. But have enough for the experiment, and emergencies, now."
"Go right ahead!" is Nausicaa's contribution once she realizes Iryi wants permission.
Then she will. The weaving is easier this time, and faster. Hope and light and things-can-get-better.
Like for Nausicaa it should start working while she's weaving. Making it a bracelet is a practical way to hold it after, while it dissipates more slowly.
She gets feedback, as she works. Does it seem to be working?
If everything is well she'll complete and fasten on the bracelet.
It's working amazingly! Sakura feels pretty much ready to take on the world?
...Is that alright? If she's causing overconfidence or something like mania, that would be something important to correct.
