He blushes.

Well, now she is too.

"Um," she says, quickly going to get to that 'finding of clothes and putting them on' thing. "I was right about not missing physical attraction?"

"Well. I'm glad of that," he says. "If a little surprised somewhere in the back of my mind."

"Milan, darling. You're very physically fit. Among other things. I would definitely still love you if you weren't any of them, but I appreciate the purely visual gift you grant the world just by existing."

"I really am not accustomed to thinking of myself as a visual gift. But thank you."

"Well, I'll be here to remind you in case you forget that you're pretty. For example: Milan, you're pretty."

Well now he's blushing again.

"I'm blushing, aren't I."

"Yes, and it looks lovely on you, too."

"Thank you, I'm glad you think so."

"Mhm!"

Clothes! On their persons! What a novel idea!

"To the sky?" she asks, when they're both fully dressed and ready to go.

"Yes that sounds like a great idea."

"Then off we go!" She scoops him up, nuzzles him affectionately, and then it's up into the sky and back to travelling.

Eee, nuzzles.

Yes! They're pleasant, and she gets to just hold him. It's nice.

After a comfortable silence: "So I'm considering the specifics of getting you settled in Kivenne. Do you want your own room to start with? I could just move you into mine, but the space is very much my own, and I worry that you wouldn't have room to spread out and make the place yours? Even if I do sort of vaguely want to cuddle you nightly, we can do that without cramming you into my room."

"Hmm... yeah, I see what you mean. My own room would be good. Are there any conveniently unoccupied ones nearby...? I suppose I don't know the layout of your palace. The royal palace in Laefair is, uh, a bit tanglesome, it would matter a lot whether we were on the same hall or a couple of turns away."

"There are a few unoccupied rooms nearby, you can definitely be in the same hall as me. Later we can move into something bigger, when we get annoyed enough at playing the 'pick which bedroom' game."

"That sounds perfect."

"Yeah. There are suites, actually. I could technically move into one right now, being the crown princess and all."

"Well, no rush. Until we get annoyed at playing the 'pick which bedroom' game."

"Which might not take too long, but better to err on the side of caution and space, I think?" Nuzzle. "I have just known you for, oh, three days."

"Yes, let's try doing the sensible thing and see how that works out for us."

Nuzzle.

"Sensibly, probably!" Flying, flying.

"What's your family like?" she asks, after a little while.

"My mother's name is Coralie, my father's name is Anath. Father's the one who's a Laefarrin noble; Mother's foreign. If I said she was a quarter-elf would I have to explain elves? I am not entirely sure I'm up to explaining elves."

"I mean you don't have to explain elves if you don't want to, but I know exactly nothing about them except presumably they can breed with humans."

"They can do that! And they're sort of vaguely immortal, they can live indefinitely as long as nothing kills them but something always does eventually. Descendants of elves tend to be long-lived and have really good hearing and - there's a trick called an 'elven whisper' where they speak so it sounds like they're whispering in your ear even though they're all the way down the hall, my mother can do that. I can't, though."
