"...My adjustement was mostly convincing myself the entire thing wasn't an out of character joke from the two and then get used to relax and be affectionate with them both without fearing the other was going to get jealous. I don't even think they are capable of jealousy like that."

"That's convenient, yeah. Is there a trick to that? I think I should probably learn."

"I think the main thing is remember they won't leave you?"

"Okay. I guess that gets easier if they actually know me and like me, instead of just...tolerating me."

"Yes, and you're plenty likable, Scott. The situation is just weird."

"I don't want to be a burden to them. I want to help." 

"You're not a burden, and I'm sure you'll be able to help. You already helping by giving them a purpose."

"So what were you working on? Before I interrupted." 

Katur snorts. "Nothing interesting. I run a shipping and distribution company for my family. Mind numbing but it gives us a roof."

"Could you use any help?" 

"If you actually want to help. You could organize my files. I have been meaning to." Shrug. "Please don't feel you have to, you're away from home under unusual circumstances, no one is going to get on your case if you want to rest."

"I want to help, promise. Show me what to do."

Katur explains to him the filing system and shows him the file cabinet.

Scott helps him get organized.

Apparently, he hums softly while he works.

Well, that is adorable.

Felicia comes by and asks if they need anything.

"Actually, I'm kind of hungry. Is there some kind of job I can do? I don't want to keep eating all of your food- and ruining all your clothes..." 

"Don't worry too much... What sorts of house shores can you do?"

"I can do basic stuff like taking out the trash and washing dishes. I'm a pretty fast cleaner, and I usually do the cooking at home. I can get groceries? I'm not sure what else there is, this place is pretty different from home."

"Do you know gardening? There are some other buildings in the lot that we don't really use because they need to be renovated. And they are currently mostly used to store furniture that had been stored for longer than I have been alive."

"I can do gardening, yeah. What do you want it to look like?"

"Primarily, I would like some of the less used parts of the property to look less... well they are abandoned pretty much, so just maintaning them is good enough, but feel free to improve them as you wish."

"Felicia, are you busy? You can show me the areas Katur is talking about so he can get back to work."

"Not at all, I came here because Fernanda's research was at a point where I couldn't help. I think it's kind of late to start gardening today, but you can start tomorrow morning then. Follow me."

Felicia leads him dowstairs through a backdoor.

"I don't have to start now, but you can't just garden, without any prep work. You need a plan."
