"The interactions between your shapeshifting and sorcery are definitely worth exploring, and is only efficient if part of the exploration be conducted by the tribe itself. Not to mention a good way to establish a fairer relationship. And if vampires are a problem sorcery offers options for them to stop being."

"Do you think sorcery could make them not need blood?"

"There is no way to be certain without a vampire around which we could... use, for testing. lifeforce manipulation can help hunger and heal."

"There is a plant that produces a blood substitute, but it is for blood loss, might not count for feeding."

"Does it work like human blood when it's in the body? I think it should work." 

"I'm not a healer, but I think it isn't as good. Good enough that someone won't die of blood loss? One of my uncles had to use it when I was little and he had lost a lot of blood at the time."

"If doesn't work by itself we can possibly improve upon it with time."

Nod.

"After dinner, more exercises?"

"I want to take a shower - you can take one too if you want - and do more research, which is mostly reading. You can rest, unless you prefer something else?"

"No, it's fine. I still sleep. Enjoy your reading." 

Fernanda tentatively smiles. And after doing the dishes she and Felicia research together in the library.

Scott looks for Katur.

Katur is here in this office, reading spreadsheets.

"Oh? Ah, hi Scott, can I help you with anything?"

"I was wondering if you could tell me about you and Fernanda." 

"Well, I should've expected that... What do you want to know exactly?"

"Just tell me how you two get along. What do you...like about her?"

"I like that she is smart, hard-working, altruistic, can see past what society sees and capable to recognize problems. And she wants to solve them all." Katur says at once, fondly.

"You really care about her, and respect her. I'm glad she has someone like you." 

Katur beams. "Thank you, I try to be good enough for both of them. Anyway, I'm not sure if there is an... easy cheat for you to get along with her? I mean, I think she wants to understand imprinting better before anything else."

"I get it. Imprinting can be intense for someone who isn't ready."

Nod. "Wait you mean that about yourself or about Fernanda?"

"Both. It's- I've never felt like this about anyone before, and I can't imagine putting that kind of responsibility on her, but I can't not."

"Oh... Fernanda is rather emotionally resilient, if she wants to understand imprinting better is mostly she wanting to do right by you."

"I just want everyone to be happy." 

"So you two have something important that is compatible."
