There aren't that many things he wants in this world.
What he really wants, above all else, is his family back.
So he asks.
"My uncle has been catatonic for nearly five years. Can you help him?"

"Hi! We are from," Vera names something legitimate-sounding, "we are conducting a survey on gun control laws. Would you mind a few minutes of your time?"
While she sets about making coffee, he comes downstairs.
"Hello. What's this about?"
"Black," they say at same time and Vera continues, "but only if it's no trouble."
"Are you the only two adults in the house?" Vii asks.
"My sister-in-law is currently staying with us, but she's not here now. Otherwise, it's just me and my husband."
"Good," Vera shifts posture, it is pretty clear this is meaningful while also not being alarming, she looks very diplomatic somehow, "Sorry for the subterfuge, but we need to talk to you two about something very important and that sounded like the most diplomatic way to get in touch."
"Talk about the alpha attacks in town. We believe it is a direct consequence to the Hale fire years ago."
"The alpha has been killing people who don't seem to share any connections to us, each other, or the supernatural. I take it you have a theory?"
"Most of our sources are... complicated. But one of the people involved told me while drunk that Kate paid him to help in the arson."
"You may have misunderstood things. I can't see why you thought a drunk was a good source."
"We are aware of that problem and is one reason why we are here," Vera says calmly, "but understand it is worrying and we have noticed connections between the arson and the alpha victims."
They present their evidence, including the bit about Kate and the chemistry teacher. It isn't exactly suspicious, but puzzling how they acquire it, but they aren't volunteering it on their own volition. "We understand that it isn't definitive evidence, but the original investigation was obviously hindered by lack of a full picture."
"After what the Hale boy did? I expect she would. She's always been a loose cannon. Thank you, for telling us. You were hoping to bring her to justice, weren't you."
Vera makes a helpless gesture. "Our primary concern is stopping the alpha attacks and related problems. We can't say we like the notion of acting outside the law like this. Nor the notion that it could happen again. Which isn't the same thing as a commitment to legal methods."
"The law isn't equipped to handling this. If you'd like me to get my sister arrested for arson, I can arrange that. But Derek Hale never faced consequences for his actions, either."
"The whole point we two came here was getting a better context to the situation. We would love to know why the law can't handle this. What sort of actions Derek take?"
