"I'm sure Asher Stark ever dislikes people but it seems very rare!"

"Alright," he says once he's done reading. "I can live with this. Just—I can walk away at any time, and all that happens is I don't get paid? As long as I don't run to the media and tell them all about Billionaire Marriage Brokers, I mean, I did read the NDA." 

"Yep! Or you do get paid, if you leave because you were treated unreasonably!"

"Or that!" he agrees. "Okay. Let's do this." 

Pauline helps him fill out a lot of paperwork and then says she'll give him a call when Asher is ready!

And Lee goes home and—doesn't call his sister to tell her about the stupid decision he's made this time. 

Instead, he curls up and shakes through the anxiety attack on his own. He just agreed to marry someone he hasn't even met! Never mind that he can 'walk away any time', it's still an incredibly dumb idea! Possibly the worst one he's ever had! This whole thing is ridiculous and he should call Pauline, tell her he's changed his mind—

He doesn't call Pauline. That would require taking an action, so his anxiety-brain can't actually manage it without the cooperation of the rest of him. (Not doing things, it can manage just fine. He doesn't get much sleep that night.)
