He rattles off a few more questions.

Felicianus gladly answers them all. He takes the opportunity to also explain some basics of shapes. People are born with a few based on the shapes of their parents. Changing shapes is painful, but gets easier with practice. Every time one changes shapes they will "reset" to a default age based on when they acquired that shape, thus people can live indefinitely or until they lose all their shapes. Shapes can be sacrificed to another shape, thereby granting that the surviving shape a new magical power.

Some people are born "shift-dancers", they have some kind of special power - called a "dance" - that tends to affect all their shapes and makes them unique. Felicianus himself is an example.

Speaking of brothers. Here is someone that looks like Felicianus, but with (currently) purple skin and white hair.

"Hey, Felicianus. The staff said we have a new guest?"

Tadashi pauses mid thought when the new, blue person walks in. He looks between them and Felicianus grinning.

<Twin?>

<Third twin, actually. There is Zephyrinus as well.> Felicianus talks to the new arrival and translates via telepathy. <Theocritus, this is Tadashi. He is from another world.>

<You all have such interesting names!>

He waves at the newcomer.

Newcomer waves back.

<Thank you. Tadashi is a rather pretty name too.>

You both are rather pretty as well, Tadashi tries very hard not to think. And probably fails.

<What's his shape? The same as yours?>

<I have that shape, but I am not currently in it. That one is called Brontos, it is blue or purple skinned and can cause electrical shocks. The one I am in right now is called Aestes, it can breathe fire.>

<Naturally occurring electricity. Out of a person. That is incredible! Back home you have to- Well, it's a very involved process.>

<Now I am curious.>

Theocritus says (and Felicianus translates) that he is curious too and will change into the Aestes' shape and be back in a minute.

<I'll wait for him to get back before I launch into a lengthy description of harnessing nature's power to turn into electricity.>

There is definitely amusement in Tadashi's "voice".

<Sounds interesting. Is that what you did back in your world?>

<No, I just took advantage of it. I made...constructs, I guess you could call them? Robots. My particular creation was one that had knowledge of all forms of...healing.>

<Ooooh. That sounds potentially very useful. There is never enough healing.>

Theocritus returns, looking even more like Felicianus, but you can tell them apart by their clothes. Theocritus is shirtless.

<He'd be very excited to learn how to heal different shapes! I thought he came through the portal with me, but I guess he must've managed to escape somehow.>

Aaaaand he's going to try very hard to not stare at said shirtlessness.

<Who is he?> Theocritus asks telepathically. There is a touch of amusement there.

<A construct. He made constructs in his worlds and made one with healer knowledge.>

If he just stays focused on the ceiling, he can pretend that two very good looking men are both fully clothed.

<Is there something wrong?>

<No! No, no, nothings wrong. Everything's fine! Peachy keen.>

Overdoing it, Tadashi.

Felicianus giggles helplessly. He speaks to Theocritus, but sends translations to Tadashi. <So, where is mom and Zephyrinus? They didn't came back with you?>
