She is sitting in the library, studying. It's her most common pastime, by hours; spending time with her sister is more enjoyable but Jaromira prefers to socialize more broadly and Katarzyna would only get in the way. This is better on net; the two of them share a room, so it isn't as though her sister's time is entirely hogged by the other girls who call this boarding school "home." Or at least "prison." Katarzyna doesn't mind it, though; the school library is excellent, and basic manners and care for the books has endeared her to the librarian to a sufficient degree to lubricate the interlibrary loans process when there's something she wants to read that they don't have.

"Synergize with a healer and stop aging, synergize with someone who does something permanent, if those exist, to stop things and make them stay stopped--I'm thinking less 'permanently anchor an object in place' and more 'and now this object is no longer radioactive'--actually, that's a thought, can you stop radioactivity at all right now, even temporarily, that seems like the kind of thing that would make sense to let the Red Cross know is on the table just in case..."

"I haven't tried that, and my range is okay but I don't know if it's good enough. I probably cannot do it in a radiation suit, see."
"Yes, that makes sense--well, at least some radiation is just electromagnetic waves, like light but much higher-energy, so we could try it with a light?"

"I can in fact turn lights off, I thought of trying that! But I don't know if I'm stopping them at a different point in the process, like stopping electricity going to them."
"I don't have any right now but they can't be hard to acquire! I suspect there are stores that sell them in this mall, it's much more probable than a stylist."

"Yeah, we can probably find some. Let's get the check and go look -" She waves down a waiter.

"I don't know which of these stores sell glowsticks. Like, I can rule out the Rainforest Café, but..."
"I don't either...I suppose a dollar-store type might, and a party supply store probably would, but I don't know how to identify either of those."

"Dollar stores usually have 'dollar' in the name. I don't see one here but there's one near the grocery store we go to?"
"Try that, and keep an eye on the stores we pass on the way out for looking like they might sell glowsticks?"
"Do you know what more buildings should have? Roof exits for flying magical girls," Katarzyna comments when they've made it to the doors.

Isabella follows and leads her to the dollar store, which does carry glowsticks. Now they have glowsticks!

"I wonder if you can stop the light partway out from the glowstick--then you wouldn't need a radiation suit, you could just stop any radiation in your vicinity."
