"My name is Hatake Kakashi. I am your jounin-sensei."

"We already know that, what else?"

"I like a lot of things. I've been a jounin since I was promoted from chūnin. Ramen is okay. Techniques? There are a lot..."

"So you know bunches! You must be a really good teacher, then!"

He shrugs and moves on.

"Now, from the right; why do you want to be a ninja?"

Sasuke has a faint expression like this is the first time anyone ever asked him that.

"I need to be strong," he says.

Raizume waits a few moments to make sure he's not going to elaborate, then; "There's so much death and violence in this world. I want the people I love to be safe."

"I want to be strong, and make everyone around me strong, so my precious people can be protected and I can protect everyone who can't protect themselves! And so I can help them with their dreams!"

Raizume smiles at him and leans against him affectionately.

"Hm. I suppose you're ready for the final test then."

"Well, okay. If you insist." He pauses for a long moment. "You'll be fighting each other. Only one will go on to become a shinobi."
