A long journey. Back to the place that was supposed to be, and never was, her home.

After her sorcery manifested at age 9 life became different. She wasn't just one of the siblings at that point. Her parents started to resent her because she blew their cover about the thiefling lineage.

The schools weren't really built with sorcs in mind. Took quite the hits. Earned some favours. Made it through in the end. Bit muddled.

Sent to Worldwound training at age 15. Made it to 2nd circle, after some crappy whipping. Off to the front

It's a better place. There is information. There is a free world out there. Clearly Asmodeus controls just some playthings, not everything.

Defected by sneaking into an adventuring partys Bag of Holding after some months.

Hard to find a spot as a visibly Evil tiefling. Can't volunteer in Kenabres, they would find her.

Did a little adventuring. Eventually made it to Andoran. It's a nice place.

Truly a shame that she couldn't make the war. That might have been her best opportunity for multiple decades. Oh well. It goes on.

A spot to push. Convention, organized by archmagi.

Plausibly a deception. Worth the risk.

A simple election. Locals think it's a trap. Hiding sorcery and lineage.

Gave some gifts, from the "wares". Most likely to make it through. B-plan is ready.

At 12, after they picked her for prep school, life became different. The family got even colder. They resented her for the privilege.

The school was an indoctrination. Just like the one before it. But the stakes were higher. Took a lot of hits. Made it through. Muddled. Confused. They weren't teaching them to think well. They were teaching them to think in circles about Asmodeus' crappy books greatness.

Got to the big place. New books, new facts. Arranged a few favours. Wanted to learn.

Cantrips weren't that hard. They just took time. And not getting tortured every evening.

First took a while. Made it around 19. Her place was secured. Still a bunch of theory left to study some study, but she had a system. Abstract the shapes. Let them in. Think of math. It's comforting important. Don't think of the pain. Savour the evenings free of badbadreward assignments. Make the good notes.

She didn't like Cheliax. You didn't have to like Cheliax to make it to the track. Nobody has to like Cheliax. But one shall not hope for better. A part of her was lost, with that hope.

Still made it through. Muddled. Confused. They weren't teaching them to think well. They were teaching them to think in circles about Asmodeus' lieslieslies greatness. Math was real for slaves. They couldn't change it every year. Managed a cantrip. It was fun to cast.

On to the big place. New books, new math, new lies. Arranged a few favours. Hungry to learn.

Polishing the cantrips wasn't that hard. Not getting tortured every evening helped.

To the academy. New books, new math, new lies. Ended up as the one arranging favours. Hungry to learn. Had to thrive.

Polishing the cantrips wasn't that hard. Spending her social capital to actually get to study helped. Most peers spent what they had on status. Or chasing pleasure.
