Blai hopes Seldan will not be too put out about Mindspeech relay also being likely the best use of them back on Golarion. He fills up on Endures, several Reposes and a Prophecy, and... has anybody been prioritizing getting people at the border their vision back, he thinks smoke can blind people more permanently than just being hard to see through.

Oh, yeah, wasn't that exactly what happened to Sandra? Admittedly with, like, horrible alchemy chemical smoke and not just woodsmoke, but she wasn't exposed for very long at all, there were probably people on the border who were exposed for a lot longer, and - honestly it had completely failed to occur to Seldan that this wouldn't be an injury fixable by a channel and he certainly hasn't heard about anyone prioritizing it.

(Seldan is fine doing Mindspeech relay on ANOTHER WORLD! Especially if they're getting paid for it and he does not feel taken-for-granted by Rolan who he's been feeling chronically miffed with lately. ...Possibly part of the miffedness is that it felt like a woeful underuse of Blai, and he'll feel a lot better about that if they manage to actually sync up with Dara about all the scheduling work Blai did yesterday and get notes from her so that Blai can do more of it and contribute. But really quite a lot of it is that Seldan is deeply unimpressed lately with Rolan's...something? He's not sure what the thing is and on reflection should maybe give that some thought, in case it's important on a level beyond his personal feelings about it.)

Rolan might not have the thing Enara and Yfandes and Seldan have where they do not work for """the gods""" as though that's a coherent sort of boss? Blai is not sure how this would produce the exact dysfunction that is troubling Seldan though. He preps some Remove Blindness/Deafness. Probably if they do relay they'll park in Absalom in range of the maximum number of things and Blai will do whatever the church of Iomedae there wants. After the convention. He has no idea how long the convention is.

…Seldan will have to give that more thought. It does not sound like Rolan is behaving much like how Yfandes did when she had to wrestle with the gods-as-incoherent-boss problem, but Groveborn are different in a lot of ways and Rolan...isn't not acting like someone whose problem is working for a ""boss"" that has no coherent goals and is mostly flailing randomly about the situation.

(Anyway, mulling it over can wait until he's not distracting Blai from prayer. Hi Iomedae! They probably have really great news!)

They do! In case She doesn't know already here it is! Also here's his wild guess about what spells he wants for the day, he will try to acquire better strategic vision for tomorrow.

Something wakes Brightstar at dawn.

It's not a vision. It feels almost almost impossible to describe what it is, but - his goddess is there. Not speaking to him, not obviously - pointing out a direction, or needing anything from him at all - just...present.

Brightstar starts crying. He clings to Her presence. He doesn't understand why, but he doesn't have to, to feel less alone.

As soon as he's done praying for the morning, Joshel will go collect today's bag of diamond dust and then bring whichever of the visiting clerics have Restorations over to the House of Healing to see Leareth.

(Sera is awake and sitting by Leareth. She's not feeling entirely back to normal, but she thinks her guess was right and an entire day and night of doing nothing except eating and sleeping has gone a very long way.)

Luminary Khayr loaded up on Restorations. They're getting which abilities today?

Vanyel, yawning, conveys that he's pretty sure they need to do Cunning and then - the other physical ones that aren't Endurance? He's slightly blanking on what they're called.

:I think I badly need the one for being more coordinated, but if that is dealt with I am only slightly weaker than usual and it would not be a serious obstacle to doing things.: Leareth isn't sure whether there's a need for Restorations elsewhere, he thinks that a lot of the others didn't get as many as they could benefit from?

They're not limited enough to justify delaying getting Leareth all the way functional, Vanyel doesn't think, given that Leareth is the one who can invent the diamond spell.

:I think he should get all three, I had it done for physical strength and I was really glad of it.:

The one Vanyel hasn't gotten fixed all the way is the coordination one, and at the current level it mostly doesn't have any effect of making him clumsy when handling magic, but it's still a minor irritation and he does suspect he wants it all the way fixed before he tries to cast the diamond-making spell, which sounds like it's going to be maximum-difficulty on both of power and finesse.

If there is enough diamond dust then Khayr will do Cunning and also Grace and Strength for Leareth.

(There is absolutely not a shortage of diamond dust!)

It's not nearly as stark a difference as the earlier Restoration on Wisdom. But it's a relief to finally be able to think at a normal speed, and it does nicely handle the bleariness from having slept poorly.

Leareth is also grateful to Vanyel for pushing for him getting all three abilities Restored. He wasn't that weak, he could walk, but - it was noticeable, and it's noticeably better now, and it's a relief to feel normal and not like he's in any way more vulnerable than usual.

He thanks Luminary Khayr graciously.

And now it's time to thank Luminary Khayr, suggest politely that it would be a good time to get breakfast and the Heralds will want to talk to him and the others in the next candlemark, and then hustle Leareth and Vanyel out for a private meeting with the Heralds - it can be over breakfast, he's not denying them a chance to eat, but they're not going to wait for after breakfast.

Oh, right, they should haul Blai in for it too. :Kimbry, where are Blai and Seldan? Can you get them to join us at the meeting-wing?:

Still in the stables! Blai's finished his prayers but Seldan was expecting them to be summoned fairly soon and it didn't seem worth trying to head anywhere else when he didn't know when or where, so he used the little bit of extra time to get a proper Companion-grooming kit from one of the stablehands. It has three different combs, none of which are Prestidigitated.

:Meeting with the Heralds and Leareth: he tells Blai. :There'll be breakfast.:

Leareth would have appreciated some time to himself to gather his thoughts, but he glances at Vanyel and then follows Joshel.

Yay, breakfast. The entire chicken pie does not seem to have totally made up the deficit he accumulated over the course of his illness and he could really go for some breakfast. He sets the current brush down and climbs aboard to be delivered to the meeting.

There is a very generous breakfast spread! Joshel may not have been particularly tracking that the recovered sick people are still catching up on over a week of missed meals, or that nearly everyone on the Senior Circle has been missing some meals lately just due to the workload, but Dara is absolutely tracking both. There's also no shortage of chava.

Leareth is already there, with a plate of food in front of him. He's back to being nearly impossible to read.

(Vanyel is pretty sure that Leareth is not incredibly okay, and would benefit from an entire day with nothing else happening to - orient properly - and that he's not going to get that. It'll be fine, in the long run, it won't have any effect on the outcomes here - honestly, even Vanyel could pull off being very not-okay and nonetheless functioning as much as he needed to, and he's a disaster compared to Leareth - and it still bothers him but he doesn't think Leareth would thank him for trying to make a big deal of it.)

Treven is there, glancing between Vanyel and Leareth out of the corner of his eye with something like awe.

Joshel does not bother with any preamble. "Leareth. Can you do it?"

"...I would put - eight in ten odds of it working, I think, if I were thinking of it spontaneously and the prophecy were not a factor? The uncertainty would be around whether Vanyel is in fact powerful enough, more than whether the spell could work in principle with arbitrary power available. With the prophecy, I am - substantially more certain that it would work."
