It takes a while to wake up Trevor. But after a few bleary moments his brothers put him in front of the TV. Their friend is increasingly confused friend.

Then he is awake enough to finally register things.

"A bank robbery? That person decided to-" use a mask, "to commit a bank robbery?"

"Yes...? That's why they are in the news." Asks their friend.

There is not even a blink at their masks, or rather, their friend glances when Felix puts the mask down, but much in the same way one would glance at anything being manipulated. Fenris's new face goes completely unremarked.

"We should get breakfast." Felix says to avoid feeling creeped out.

"And then figure what to do." Fenris says.

When their friend is distracted.

"Did you see what I saw in the crowd?"

"No? What?"

"A number of people with paper masks." Trevor says.

"Is there a problem?" Asks their mom from the kitchen.

"No, mom." Fenris replies. And the three file back into the kitchen.

They have breakfast. Their mom plays with Fenris' feathers after giving the boy his toast. He knew the effect was creepy, but experiencing it is another story.

Very creepy. Felix is wondering if their mom will object to Maple sort-of-living-with-them? He eats his breakfast real quick and goes upstairs.

Once there he puts the mask on.

Maple, does not have enough physical presence to look up in mild surprise, but there is sure that general sentiment there.

Felix smiles at her. "Hello, huh, do you know who I am?"

Maple nods, she does not look particularly unhappy with Felix, but not exactly excited. She does not elaborate beyond the nod.

"I mean... do you know that my name is Felix? And that you reside in the mask that..." he actually finds very hard to remember the stranger's face or name. Assuming it gave one. "that it was given to me."

Again she nods. "I am aware of all that, yes. Do you want to see my forest?"

"Of course."

Maple creates a portal in the air, a lush verdant forest can be seen through it.

Felix crosses the threshold and grins at Maple. "This is beautiful."

Maple smiles shyly.

"Apparently, I have power over plants now. Do you want to see it?"

Maple nods. "Maybe make that tree over there straight up?"

"Good idea. Felix tries."

It turns out to be harder, or... maybe not as straightforward as he thought.
