"Hex recently broke open a limit on their magic only to discover another one, but it's not as hard a limit and they can circumvent it by assembling a bunch of people; it doesn't scale well but neither does wish-granting. My magic system's the most open-endedly flexible but it takes decades to design a spell and nobody except me can get very far with that but once I've got something it can be distributed to anyone with an eidetic memory. It may or may not be possible to turn arbitrary people into the category of species to which demons belong but all our test subjects keep not dying, and that would be how we'd find out. Don't know yet if people who aren't from Aurum can acquire witchcraft by turning into a vampire and we'd need a large sample size to be sure because most vampires even on Aurum aren't witches. Lots of fiddly frustratingly narrow stuff like that."

"So far, yes. And your extended family appears in Ardas and there's a human set in Hex."

"Mostly, adjusting for point in the timeline. Space Arda has a larger population and some according differences."
