Someone else who got snaked is here!
...so presumably at least one of these kissing men is a past snake victim!
Oh my god Lúthien put us outside this building please.
"Our people are also interested in wishing us more magic powers once the political situation's all stable, it'll be good to know what can and can't be duplicated."
"Hex recently broke open a limit on their magic only to discover another one, but it's not as hard a limit and they can circumvent it by assembling a bunch of people; it doesn't scale well but neither does wish-granting. My magic system's the most open-endedly flexible but it takes decades to design a spell and nobody except me can get very far with that but once I've got something it can be distributed to anyone with an eidetic memory. It may or may not be possible to turn arbitrary people into the category of species to which demons belong but all our test subjects keep not dying, and that would be how we'd find out. Don't know yet if people who aren't from Aurum can acquire witchcraft by turning into a vampire and we'd need a large sample size to be sure because most vampires even on Aurum aren't witches. Lots of fiddly frustratingly narrow stuff like that."
"Most worlds don't have interesting magic, there's nothing useful acquired just by hopping dimensions a lot? Lúthien might be able to target for that."
"I hope she can! Most worlds are in fact very boring, not meaningfully different from contacting a new planet or three in Edda - Edda's really crowded."
"So far, yes. And your extended family appears in Ardas and there's a human set in Hex."
"Mostly, adjusting for point in the timeline. Space Arda has a larger population and some according differences."
"Oh, good. Saves me some trouble learning names and saves my counterparts trouble putting people to good use - I am thinking I should just ask one to come take over for me here -"
"...you could ask them," nods Loki, "if that's what you want to do."
"I don't know the goal of this game and, given the premise, I'm not needed badly enough to justify just trying to blunder through doing what I'd do if it were real."
"If the Space ones can fork, and they're whole and happy and functional -"
"Yeah, Space You did get captured but they're all forked from a pre-capture instance. They're the ones with the different population, but it doesn't seem unlikely that one could step in for you here."
"We've had a little time for postwar reconstruction, there really aren't too many challenges. The hard part would be keeping my family reasonable but I assume that's a problem everywhere and one they're equally equipped to deal with."
"I'll do that, thanks. Fingon also told you how the war plays out without interference, at least up to this date?"
"Your Arda was fortunate to have you. I am looking forward to reading all the stories."
"You in a position to appreciate osanwë'd memories of the highlights like the part where I killed a Thauron with my bare hands?"
She can do that. It was like so.
And Tesseracting a Melkor across a cosmos is like so.
"Yeah. You're actually the first one of you to get to kill one. Pity you think it's imaginary."
