There are many people that a gang could set upon on a night, and even get away the victors. But even with the advantage of numbers, attacking the four tipsy people who'd been weaving down the street has turned out to be very much the wrong decision. Because the four tipsy people are in fact military trained. That they're tipsy barely impedes their reactions. It doesn't take them long to have it over with, breathing a little rushed, faces flushed with adrenaline and grins.
"As well as I ever do," 'Chelle says - she's surprisingly bright for the fact she didn't get that much sleep in the scheme of things.
"I slept well. Please tell me you didn't spend the early hours having arguments on the internet, Sparky?"
"Translation: 'slept fine, too early, you're all weird'." Percy pats him on the back.
"-Did I miss ending up in bed with you?" Lan still looks a little bleary as he blinks at Percy.
"I doubt there will be a lack of opportunity," Percy says taking a bite out of his pancakes.
"Really, guys? At the table? At breakfast?" 'Chelle doesn't sound too serious, and feels mostly amused.
Eventually, 'Chelle has to leave for school. She does it at high speed, and with hugs all around. "Try not to miss me too badly while I'm gone," she says with a wink at Percy.
"Ange says we can head on over to hers whenever we're ready," Aaren says. "You joining us, Lan?"
