dark wings are a dark omen
Voshrelka's mostly just here to watch atrocities and chill

This is not Voshrelka's first time witnessing riots, and she doesn't particularly expect it to be her last, either. Civilization just kind of does this, sometimes. Another one of their madnesses, like money and owning each other land belonging to people. Mostly, she stays out of it.

Today she is not, and this is because she suspects she can use this chaos to push her agenda. She's been making sure druids are very obvious, and very obviously good and helpful and oh-so-very-wronged by the previous regime. Druids are so soft and friendly and care about all life, and other such sweet nothings that are only sometimes true. So: this is an opening for her to leverage. Probably, anyway. And if not, well, she's inured to these horrors by now anyway. Her memories of a mob of angry villagers and a raven flying in to buy her time to escape are long faded, and if they ache, it's a familiar ache that doesn't particularly distract her.

In her experience, it's not the guilty that are persecuted in these purges, but those that are different. The outsiders, or the people who don't play nicely with what the mob is saying, or the small and young who can't escape fast enough, or... Well. Just about anyone but the intended targets. Rather like a blight, that way. The city's very own blight, self grown: rioting.

Anyway. Some of those different people are, you know, delegates. That allegedly get to decide government policies. So she's on the lookout for some of those she can swoop in to assist. Or anything that looks like it would be suitably dramatic and win her points, really. And one little bird is very easy to miss in all the excitement.
