There is actually a third druid delegate! Eventually!

So, the government outside of the Barrowood has changed again.

Her clan is of the opinion that this means there's about to be another one of those civil wars. This is probably better, on the whole, than Cheliax still belonging to Hell itself, but Hell kept kind of a tight leash on its populace. A civil war means there will be a lot of displaced refugees, and that over half of them will turn to banditry. And probably attempt to hide from the law in the woods. The other half? Will not turn to banditry, but will almost certainly try to hide from the chaos in the woods.

As the caretakers and current residents of the largest set of woods in the country, this is something of a situation for the druids of the Barrowood.

Enough of one that they don't really want to send one of their number off to go die in the inevitable civil war those fucking humans their neighbors will inevitably get up to. That lies losing a druid. They do not want to lose a druid. Elves are bad at having kids in the best of times, and during any time of even mild stress, 'replacement rate' they do not have.

One decides to go anyway. She'll be a bit late, but hey. If she dies then everyone will know for sure that Cheliax is about to fall apart into civil war again.
