She gives him a squeeze and goes back to petting his hair for another moment.

"Are you hungry?"

It takes him a moment to actually figure out the answer to that. "I- a little?" he admits quietly.

"And I skipped dinner. C'mon, let's go get breakfast."

He winces a little (even if it can't be considered his fault that Pradnakt skipped dinner), but nods, and moves to get out of the bed.

She lets him loose as soon as he starts moving, and grabs a robe from the back of the door before opening it.

The droids are seated at the table beyond - they must have put Pradnakt's things away at some point in the night - and Daisy gets up as they come in.

"Morning, Love. We're all right. You?"

"We're fine. We got the bricks done for Nova's house, they should be dry by now."

"That's good, thank you. Breakfast?"

"Mmhmm, it'll be ready in a few minutes." She goes to do that, and Pradnakt sits at the table next to Nine.

He drifts after Daisy, not entirely sure why, but a little to see if there's anything he can do to help.

There doesn't seem to be: she takes a bowl of chopped potatoes and herbs and vegetables out of the refrigerator and pours it into a pan to cook.

"Good morning, Nova."

"G'morning," he replies quietly. "I-" He wants to apologise for last night, but he also doesn't want to upset Daisy again.

"Hmm?"

"I- last night, I didn't-" He frowns, trying to figure out the words. "Mean to cause an...argument."

"Ah. It's fine, Nova, you didn't do anything wrong. I'm sorry we disturbed you."

"I- s'fine," he says, and very almost actually means that - he doesn't remember sleeping as well as he did last night after- after everything.

"It's not, really, I know you need your sleep. But we'll have your house done today, anyway, it won't happen again."

"Slept better," he tells her very quietly. "But- I. Yes."

"I'm glad," she says, warmly.

He smiles shyly at her, and then just loiters near while she finishes cooking.

Once the potatoes are cooked, she breaks an egg carefully into each quarter of the pan, and then gets out a pair of place settings. "Could you bring these to the table for me, Nova?"

He takes them from her nodding, and doing just that. He pauses by the table, looking back to Daisy to see if she has any else she'd like him to do.

Her attention is on the pan, and as he watches, she turns to bring it to the table.

He doesn't sit down, just watches.

She steps around him to place the pan on the table, then distributes the plates and utensils: one set in front of Pradnakt, the other far enough away to give Nova the space he's seemed to want.

"No, I think he'll do all right next to me, today," Pradnakt says, and Daisy moves them back closer to her: "All right. There you go, Nova."

He looks a little nervous, but no more than his seeming baseline, and also does not in fact flinch or cringe as he sits down. He stays small, but that seems to be a far more habit than anything else.

Pradnakt smiles at that, and scoops a serving of potatoes onto his plate, and then another onto her own; Daisy brings over the carafe of milk, and sits on the other side of him.

He'll wait briefly until Pradnakt starts eating before starting on his own food. He makes a marked effort to eat slower, although that's still not slow. He occasionally sneaks looks at Daisy, Pradnakt and Nine, but otherwise seems to be managing something that is nearly content.

Good.

Once he seems settled in, Pradnakt turns her attention to Nine. "I assume Daisy talked to you about last night?"

"Yes, m- ... yes." He sounds contrite.

"Do you understand what the problem was?"

"I should have waited until morning?"

"Yes, and... humans have a harder time with emotions than droids do. Nova especially, but all of us, more or less; we can't just ignore them the same way you can. You need to take that into consideration; if something might be upsetting, it's a good idea to wait until we have enough free time to deal with that and it won't be interrupting anything before you bring it up, if you can."

    "That makes sense. Sorry, sir."
