Today, Beacon Hills High School prepares to welcome a new student! Several new students, in fact; a whole class of them. As summer gives way to fall, so too does freedom give way to restriction. Get in your seats, everyone.
Juliet is also confused. She stands, keeping a hold of Matts hand and pulling him along with her to the car.
"Seconded. I thought you were our ride."
She laughs, "I thought teachers didn't exist outside of school grounds. Or are gym teachers and coaches exempt from this universal rule?"
"You know how he is. Or do you? I can't keep track of your complicated web of popularity nonsense, things were simpler when I went to high school. You were cool or you weren't, and I wasn't. Easy."
"I'm good. But unfortunately unable to play. I have a mood disorder. Sometimes I get too excited and I can hurt myself, or others. It's a thing."
"We just wanted to hang out outside of school. That's what cool kids do in our day, Coach Finstock."
"I'm not your parents. You could have been painting the trees with each other's blood for all I care, as long as you were safe."
"Oh! I was hoping to take some pictures of tryouts, maybe a video? I mean, I was thinking about actual games, but that's still a ways off, right?"
