Today, Beacon Hills High School prepares to welcome a new student! Several new students, in fact; a whole class of them. As summer gives way to fall, so too does freedom give way to restriction. Get in your seats, everyone.
"Flattering, but the jury's still out. So far, I haven't found anything I don't like."
"Juliets mostly thinking about what she's doing after school. Do you think Matt has any ideas?"
"I like that idea. We could go to the Preserve, have you been to the cliff? There's also the old Hale house..."
She smiles. "Yeah? I've never been there before. My dad and cousin always expressly forbid it. But. Who cares what they want, right? I mean, my dad demanded you stay away from me... and yet here you are."
"Mines in the darkroom. I've been experimenting with what they have in there. I'll go grab it after Latin."
"Works for me."
There's not much to focus on in class yet. The first week is slow.
"How was it? This weekend?"
"It was- mostly just me locked in my room all weekend. I finished listening to Hamlet again. Did some sketches. Um. Thought about redying my hair a different color," she fingers the red streak in her hair, "and started plotting my revenge," she jokes, "have to figure out all the logistics. Otherwise it'll all fall apart."
"Well, if you're Romeo, then I'll happily take Mercutio, Juliet. But I think we're more Antigone and Haemon."
"Yes. Lets skip the suicide part though and go straight to killing the unjust King. Much more poetic."
Lydia catches her on her way in.
"Hello. Do you need someone to file charges on your behalf?"
