They blink.

"Uh, sorry for being tactless."

"Wait, is there literally a holy champion?"

"Or so the stories say. I don't know if it's all one hundred percent true. You pick this sort of thing up when you pick through ruins for a living... I believe in Hylia and Ganon, at any rate."

Nod. "We are from somewhere very, very far away and never heard of any of this."

"I gathered. These old legends don't really have a day to day effect, though. Unless you count them explaining why monsters are so hard to deal with sometimes. It's pretty peaceful in safe areas."

Nod nod. "We should be able to handle ourselves moving to and from most places. But we don't know what to do in the long term."

"How did you end up here? You could try to go home."

"We poked some ancient ruins and appeared here in a flash of light."

"Oh man, now I have to be worried for my choice of job. I wouldn't know where to start except maybe the Ancient Tech Lab near Hateno Town?"

"Choice of job? And thank you! That sounds like the place to take a look into."

"We're treasure hunters. We pick through ruins from the Calamity looking for valuable stuff. It's gotten harder over the last 20 years but there's a lot of ruins to explore."

"Huh, that sounds cool. Why is it getting harder? Less valuable to find?"

"What counts as valuable?"

"The easy pickings are gone. You have to go further into wilderness and closer to places monsters like to get good stuff, or dig through sites everyone else already looked through hoping they missed something. We look for old books, weapons and shields, magic ammo, old clothes, gems and such..."

Nod. "Are the magical things often somehow better than stuff made today?" Temple wonders.

"No. But they're still valuable, only master craftsmen can make fire arrows and so on."

"What does it take to make one, exactly? Is it the sort of thing that just takes rare materials or you have to ...sacrifice something else?"

"And just to be sure. Fire arrows are magic, right? They are not some weird chemistry?"

"I'm a treasure hunter, not a craftsman. Go to Goron City if you want to learn how to make fire arrows. And, we should probably get going."

"Of course, thank you for your time!"

"Let's go, Minki, Trest. Off between the Duelling Peaks!"

They start walking south.

"So, what should we do, Temple?"

"I'm more inclined to go to Hateno. But first I think we should go back to the hill where we landed and leave a signal there. In case they find a way to get us and land there as well."

"Do you think there still some sort of portal active?"

"No idea, but I wouldn't have expected to have been teleported the way we did. And we might as well leave something."

They agree this is a good idea and go hill-wards.
