Dreamshaper!Felix drops on Beacon Hills

In a moment Felix was simply enjoying flying through the many portals of the Shattered Skies. Then a flash of bright light and then he isn't in the Shattered Skies anymore.

Instead he is above a town, no portal in view. He checks his cellphone and... no signal, this is likely a kind of pocket dimension.

Feeling confused and lost, Felix flies down, searching for people or a place where he can use a phone.

He could search for the portals he went through last night, Felix left a few in case people wanted to go through and from his pocket dimension.

So if he tries to take a portal like the one from his own pocket dimension, and put one inside his house, can he use that to let people into his?

If he can use dreamshaping to do something like that while awake it isn't very intuitive.

So he finds one of Felix's portals and goes through.

Now he is standing on Felix's topiary garden, he saw this area during the night and is even prettier during the day. Felix's house is pretty close, he can even make out the shape of something with large red-orange wings sitting on the roof, facing away.

That won't work.

"Felix?" he calls out softly.

Felix can't hear that.

He approaches the house.

"Felix!"

This time a bit louder.

Felix is startled, but then flies down and...

...forces a smile for Scott. "Good morning. Are you adjusting well to sleeping while dreamshaping?"

"I'm learning. Thanks for all your help so far."

"My pleasure. Do you have any questions?"

"What do dreamshapers do in your home? Are they specialists people go to for help? What did you do before you came here?"

"Oh, while pocket dimensions are publicly known, the fact that dreamshapers make them is a secret. I don't know why. The last batch of dreamshapers was created by a really evil bastard that was using them to get rich. Me and my twin," there is a brief pang of pain in his face, "helped put the bastard down and have been recently used the powers for various charity reasons. Fire doesn't consume or harm things here in my pocket dimension, so we set up a power plant that provides energy at extremely low cost while I also secretly conjure things to donate to anonymously to various charities. The current arrangement between dreamshapers was not to go public, at least not yet. Most are traumatized after being basically enslaved and so had issues before... they were picked among people that wouldn't be missed."

"I'm sorry. Dreamshapers in this world can be something good, from the beginning. We can make sure of it."

"Thank you," Felix smiles more sincerely, "do you know of more specific ways to help? Maybe things that your world is likely to need? We don't have werewolves where we are from, except in legends or very specific wolf-related magic."

"The people here probably need the same things: food, shelter, clothing, medicine...werewolves don't need anything extra."

"I see... Actually, now that I brought it up. What is up with werewolves? I mean, what can you tell me? I checked your internet and... why are they a secret? How dangerous are they? Powers and abilities, that general thing."

"Mostly they're secret by choice. Packs keep themselves in check, but if there are omegas, they sometimes have trouble with control, and then they start hurting people. Hunters step in, and so it's easier if we regulate ourselves."

Felix blinks. "...Hunters?"

"Yeah. They hunt werewolves who can't control their violent urges and start killing people."

"And hunting is an euphemism for tracking them down and arresting them?" Felix says with edges of both hope and hysteria in his voice.

"If they're part of a pack, yeah. They'll let alphas that can handle their packs the opportunity to resolve things internally. Omegas are different. They're alone, and out of control, and humans can't contain werewolves easily, without killing them."

"What they do with the omegas?!"

"They kill the ones no one can take responsibility for."
