Election: Levrolurment
A gnome representative

Brastlewark is governed in a particularly gnomish fashion, which is to say that it has an open town meeting once a week, agenda announced in advance, and anyone who cares about anything discussed at the meeting is expected to show up and vote.

It does technically also have a king, because King Drum Thornfiddle thought it would be fun to be king and no one else at the meeting objected. In addition to clerking the meetings, he is Brastlewark's executive branch and visits with other rulers in great pomp and circumstance.

--

"Our next order of business," says King Drum, rustling the papers, "is that, in addition to me getting to go to the new Chelish Constitutional Convention in my position as ruler, we have to elect someone else to go to represent the people of Brastlewark."

He was given a procedure to do to elect people but King Drum has long assumed that no one actually expects him to follow any procedures he finds boring or mildly inconvenient.

"Anyone want to go?"

Four gnomes raise their hands. King Drum calls on them. One of them has a special interest in the Galtan revolution, one in the psychology of archmages, and two in political philosophy.

"And," Levrolurment, the second one who has a special interest in political philosophy, says, "I used to take money from the old government to write papers in defense of Asmodeanism or failing that Lawful Evil, so I know the most about Cheliax. And Kela has been interested in political philosophy for way longer so if she hasn't gotten to see the formation of any new governments that's really on her."

Kela frowns. King Drum prepares to bang his comically oversized clockwork gavel to call for order in the town meeting, but she doesn't speak out of turn, much to King Drum's disappointment.

"Also," Levrolurment says, "I promise to take detailed notes on everything that's going on, with particular attention to Galtan revolutionaries, and to make a good-faith effort to interview Elie Contonnet."

Levrolurment wins with sixty percent of the vote-- his campaign promise to take notes so other people get to indulge their special interests too was particularly appealing-- and is Brastlewark's elected representative to the Convention.
