Halliwell Manor has been empty for several years. The layer of dust that has accumulated on the furniture is unpleasantly thick. There are cobwebs in every corner, waiting to spring themselves on an unsuspecting visitor. The rooms smell musty, like a waterlogged library. Though the garden shows signs of maintenance, the interior is oppressively lifeless. Without people to fill it, the house has become a shadow of its former self. Underneath all of that, the place is the same as the sisters remember. Halliwell Manor looks like home.
"I'm happy to keep the Halliwell sisters entertained. I can't think of a better purpose in life."
"I don't think he'd enjoy it as much as I would. Let's knock."
Which he does.
"I will get that." She throws on a bathrobe on herself. Lan can get a towel that barely covers anything at all.
She opens the door.
"We have the beginnings of a plan. We can spend a couple of days training, but not more than that. I'm not risking bringing the entire forces of Hell down on us."
Felicia freezes.
In the sense that time freezes. Theo is not caught, but Lan stands still.
And they in fact don't. Lan unfreezes.
"Why are you waving your hands in front of my face?"
"You kinda froze all of a sudden." Beatrix says and then she steals the towel he was using to cover himself up.
"What did you expect? Do you usually walk in on people like this? Kind of rude."
"I disappointed he couldn't pick something better as an excuse to catch you in all of your glory."
Felicia is keeping her eyes closed so she can't see any of Lan's glory.
"I'm going to put on some clothes. Sorry, Felicia."
He retrieves his clothes from the floor and walks around Fernanda, who he expects cares less about any chance of exposure.
