Halliwell Manor has been empty for several years. The layer of dust that has accumulated on the furniture is unpleasantly thick. There are cobwebs in every corner, waiting to spring themselves on an unsuspecting visitor. The rooms smell musty, like a waterlogged library. Though the garden shows signs of maintenance, the interior is oppressively lifeless. Without people to fill it, the house has become a shadow of its former self. Underneath all of that, the place is the same as the sisters remember. Halliwell Manor looks like home.
"Right, Theo. That's still a thing? What about you and Fernie, doing anything fun?"
"We are participating in their relationship drama. I think that answers your second question. Why? Planning something?"
"A woman was murdered in her house. They tried to make it look like an accident, but it's definitely arson."
"Well, they don't know. My dad thinks it's arson. It's just a few neighborhoods over."
Theo would kind of rather hug his girlfriend wife and not think about anything else, but it's not his call.
"I'd be okay staying here. We could go over the powers I have and how Felicia wants to use them."
"Maybe start power experimentation while you're at it. And you have yet to manifest your power, right?"
"Start with something nice. Joy, contentment, excitement, something like that. Think about a memory. Do you remember that little hole-in-the-wall restaurant we went to that first week, just after we met?"
