Halliwell Manor has been empty for several years. The layer of dust that has accumulated on the furniture is unpleasantly thick. There are cobwebs in every corner, waiting to spring themselves on an unsuspecting visitor. The rooms smell musty, like a waterlogged library. Though the garden shows signs of maintenance, the interior is oppressively lifeless. Without people to fill it, the house has become a shadow of its former self. Underneath all of that, the place is the same as the sisters remember. Halliwell Manor looks like home.
Fernanda shrugs. "I honestly don't know, but I am pretty sure it will be something out of passion and I don't know Theo's opinions on unprotected sex post marriage, but I figure that leaving a box in Felicia's nightstand can't hurt."
"You know Felicia would've felt worse. And you have to miserably hold off all your jokes until it was okay to tell them, then they would come all at once and it would be grating."
There is an awkward silence. "I don't think that we should directly interfere with the Theo situation."
Trix makes a noncommittal sound. Neither a yes nor a no. Neither question or answer. Closer to a "keep going", than anything.
"Not for now. I don't have a better solution than keeping an eye on the situation and be ready. We, and by that I mean you, don't try to push anything to either direction. That includes lewd jokes."
"What? Of all kinds? Not even ones that don't involve Felicia?"
Which is her way of saying that she agrees enough with Fernanda that she will just make the most predictable joke to the set up that Fernanda purposefully gave her.
"Well, maybe if Lan is around you can propose that boy on boy is hot?"
Which is Fernanda's way of replying this is good enough.
After a certain amount of snuggling, Theo has to admit he's just avoiding the inevitable.
"It's bad enough looking at you knowing how badly I screwed you over, but there's no way I can justify myself to Fernanda. Murderers don't usually rehabilitate this easily."
"Fernanda is less mean than me, she just doesn't show. And... magic being involved is a great argument."
"You have to forgive me, your love literally made me a better person."
Mostly.
"I don't think your sisters are going to be so lenient."
She ruffles his hair. "Yeah, I am a real romance novel heroine. Teaches me to be carefull what I wish for."
Pause.
"I think... they care about my sake. I think they will just be watchful around you."
"It probably means that Trix will make jokes about putting you in chains. More than normal that is."
Felicia gives him a disbelieving look.
"Don't offer what you can't give. She might blink."
