When most of the delegates have entered the convention hall, but before the President has called the meeting to order, he stands up and makes an announcement.
"I have several castings of a spell that can temporarily give a person fluent knowledge of Chelish Taldane. In the interests of this Convention being better able to conduct its business I will cast it for free on any delegate with a need for it. Please approach me or one of my staff wizards if you are interested."
Kicharchu trots up.
"I expected you'd want one."

He laughs. "Indeed."
"What a tremendous lot of words there are! How long will I know them all?"
"The spell lasts a day, though people tend to retain some knowledge permanently, especially if they use the language a lot while it's active. A week or two of having it cast every day and using it a lot is usually enough to learn the language for real."
"Amazing! What a splendid magic! I am much obliged!" Applause.
"You're welcome."
This is a farce. If the monsters can't even speak Taldane they shouldn't be here.
Liushna vaguely notices Slavery Committee Bitch #2 as she approaches Alfonso, but doesn't assign him any particular importance. "Could use," she says, a little sheepish even though the fact that she could use it is EXTREMELY OBVIOUS.
