"We can't just kill the child, Isa. She was grief-stricken and she lashed out unthinkingly."

"It would be a waste to just kill her. She could be a great asset to the Council in the future, powerful as she is."

"So we can't kill her, but we can't just let her go unpunished."

"Anything we do to punish her now will just foster the resentment she feels for us, making it grow exponentially."

"And make her useless to us at best, or make an enemy of her at worst."

Kol cocks a cheeky eyebrow at his sister and then steps forward closer to the seated Council members. "I have a solution. One that will make everyone happy."

"And what would you have to offer us? You're not even an official Member."

"He is here as Sheriff Rebekah Mikaelson's Voice. He speaks with her authority," he reminds Isa and then looks at Kol, "What solution do you have for us, Emissary Mikaelson?"

"Send the girl to New York. My sister Rebekah, the Sheriff, could foster her. She has a longstanding approval for a child and is a very highly regarded member of this Council. She could take the girl under her wing until such a time when she has recovered enough to serve her probation."

Klara stands stock still behind her brother, desperately forcing herself not to stare at the girl on the table. She can't give herself away. Too much rested on their plan working.

Cade stares at Kol, accessing. He finds nothing incriminating in his expression, but cocky arrogance. Which was not out of character for the ancient vampire.

He turns his head to the others, "It would give us enough time to access the damage she has caused."

Rosalina doesn't want to let the child out of her sight....but. "Sheriff Mikaelson is a good person. She would be good for her, at the very least, for the childs state of mind."

"We can't pamper the child! She committed a crime, she has to pay for it."

"Yes. But any punishment right now would further damage her, perhaps irrevocably."

"She's too powerful for us to just toss her aside. We can send her to New York and reassess her crime when the time is right."

He looks at Kol, and to Klara, standing beyond him.

"You must train her, enforce control and loyalty."

"Of course. My family is known for our loyalty. She'll receive the best training."

"I'll conduct it myself."

Nicodemus is pleased. "Yes, excellent. Who could teach her how to control her powers better than someone who can use them herself?"

He looks at the rest of the seated Council members. "I vote yes."

"I concur. This seems like the best option."

Rosaline hesitates but eventually nods her agreement. "As I."

Isa glares at them all. "No. I'm not agreeing to this. The whole Hawke family are traitors and will cause nothing but trouble. I vote no."

Cade looks to the remaining members, most having left to tend to their wounds. "All those that vote yes, please raise your hands."

Four of them do this.

Elijah also does.

Daphne hesitates but goes with her gut and raises her hand.
