She takes a deep, deliberate breath. There's so much in the Forests. She can hear a herd of deer to the north, and the trees at the edge of the wood murmur greetings to her. A moth crysalis sits high up above her nest. Kree is jabbering to himself, annoyed that he had to spend the night in a woodpecker's hollow. She laughs. "You can come back!" she calls. "Kree, come back!"
Jasmine stands and realizes two things at once. One, she will never fall out of a tree again in her life, and two, she is absolutely drenched in blood. She laughs again, just out of sheer delight at the ease of movement. "Race you to the stream!" she says to the twins, and launches herself out of her nest.
