Michael was bored. High school is all well and good, but when you spend much of the year in a hunter gather tribe, it could get a little dull. His homework was done, his father out fishing, and nothing good was on TV, so he decided to IMS Gren. They had met and sort of made friends a few years ago or so, and they still liked to chat on occasion.
Any better with her power?
Slow and steady improvement. She does, like, martial arts of some kind as a focus for it now.
Cool. Must be weird having all those travellers.
They keep to the marked areas. Mostly. So we can just avoid the terminal and the north beach if we don't want to meet anyone new.
Has their been anyone worth meeting?
Nick himself came by a few months ago. One of the rulers of New York too, on her way to visit the Amazing Association. That Peter kid came through once, not sure where he was going. Most of the ships are still cargo though. Have you seen the 'Air Market' thing? You can buy more and more stuff every day, it seems like.
I think I got a catalogue in the mail. Haven't read it.
I do all the ingredient and tool and furniture ordering for mom's restaurant. The computer version of the catalog has more in it than the paper one.
Rillah ever get the hang of computers?
She's still not a huge fan. Reading books on them is okay, though.
Have Angie and Joey stopped chasing tourists?
I scared them away from the public beach, anyway. Told them they could chase anyone who wanders past all the signs.
You could probably sell hits of Angie's happiness thing.
That's super super sketchy, you know. It almost sounds like opium or something.
You didn't mind when she used it on us during fights.
Kind of did, actually. But she would have thrown a fit if I tried to forbid it, and it does fade pretty quick...
At least the others grew out of pretending to hate you all.
Ah, the whims of childhood and amusing fake enemies. Nostalgic.
I'm pretty sure Simone and Martin are dating.
Because rumors about romance are always reliable, as we've learned from Aether's claims about Cor and I, yes?
Hey, I didn't get that from Aether.
So 'might have been from Aether' is 'didn't come from Aether'. Well, I can see it. Sorta.
If you can't snag a boy who can swim properly, I guess flying is the next best thing.
Sounds kind of greedy when you say it that way, doesn't it?
Eh, love can be like that.
