Cascadia Esper Network, when they host mixers in Seattle, rents out the MoPOP (formally known as the EMP, informally known as "that funny-shaped building") and brings in catering. It works really well - there's lots of floor space for the main area for tables of catered food and for espers to mingle, and they bring cozy couches into various side rooms. The giant screen that adorns one of the walls of the main area has a map of rented space with rooms marked by function.
This time, the event caterers brought tiny pre-assembled tacos, mini-quiches, and sliders, all thoughtfully labeled and each coming with a vegan option, set up on a series of tables scattered around the space. There's relaxing music playing at an esper-friendly volume (which is to say, not especially audible to non-espers).
The doors open around 5 pm.
