Azan wins the war and now Maki has a chance to talk to that slave he liked the look of.
"That disgusts me."
"And I'm glad we took over Sesat."
"Do you also object to landfills? I personally find those disgusting."
"Landfills don't have experiences."
"I'm not sure if slaves do either. I mean, do animals? At the very least they don't have the kind of experiences people do."
"It seems to me that they would have strictly worse experiences."
"Being treated as though they're not human?"
"Does it really matter? You've already decided you don't want to have slaves in your country."
"I did decide that. I was trying to decide if I want to keep talking to you and I don't think I do. You can go now."
She has nowhere in particular to go now so she'll just wander the city if that's allowed.
No one's going to stop her.
After she's satisfied her curiosity she leaves. She doesn't tell anyone where to find her.
Eventually Azan he wants to talk to Valan again.
Then that can happen.
"What happened with Teru?"
"She didn't go back to you?"
"...Why, is it your fault?"
"Not that I know of. I may have offended her, though, I didn't like her."
"I'm sorry. I tried."
"You did. I'm glad you did. It just didn't work out."
"In that case I would appreciate it if you got through the rest of your questions quickly."
"Are you planning to go after her?"
