Skye stares up at the train with wonder. She's never seen anything so awe-inspiring, and she'd spent nearly two months living in Diagon Alley. This was something else.
Orion grimaces. "Malfoy was in here doing that earlier, too. What they think they're doing--"
"He was really rude when I met him before too. But -- he said really awful things. I'm sorry, Juliet."
"It's not your fault. Millicent does as she will. It's always been that way."
"The weird thing is, he was acting like he wanted to be friendly with you to start with," Orion says to Skye (Spencer? Sky? Sky sounds like it could be a nickname --).
"Draco only ever does what he does on his daddy's say so."
"I've never met his dad."
"My father talks to him sometimes, but they don't get on the way he does with your uncle," Orion says, the last to Juliet.
She holds Orion's hand tight.
"Daddy says he's on the school board. He might be trying to get Draco to make more friends. But he's not very good at that."
She... doesn't know what to do here. She's never really had friends before. Navigating politics like this is so confusing.
Orion reaches out his other hand toward Skye, tentatively.
-- Skye flinches slightly and curls with her knees against her chest.
"Not your fault."
He shakes his head, tucking himself up as well.
She leans against him, lending comfort, and changes the subject.
"I kind of expected Moran to be on the train. He followed you everywhere."
Orion leans into Juliet's presence, seeming a little reassured.
"He had to go back to work sometime. Though technically I was work. He was my Ministry appointed bodyguard," she tells Orion.
"Huh," Orion says.
"I asked my dad about a Moran, but he doesn't know anyone by that name."
"It's not his real name. He only uses it for work."
"That's a bit ominous," Orion observes, softly.
"I think he likes it that way. He's a Hit Wizard, he gets into a lot of dangerous situations. Keeping his identity a secret is smart."
"What's a Hit Wizard? Sounds kinda scary."
Orion looks like he agrees with Juliet's assessment.
"All the books I've read said they can act as bodyguards, or even bounty hunters. Really versatile, special forces. But they still work for the your Ministry, so they can't be that ominous, right?"
