Beka is confused, but hey, the last time she walked into a confusing anomaly it worked out great, and this one looks friendly enough too.
Nah. He could've used my baby since orcs hurt all the time but he just fixed her instead, and before she was fixed she didn't even know the difference.
glad she got fixed.
It was so good!
"He .... probably shouldn't have them," Jiath is telling Lyrame. "They're -- really unhappy. For a long time. And I don't know if they ever get to be really happy."
(It hurts even to say that they shouldn't exist but it's not important if it hurts, it's important that they not hurt.)
Beka goes and hugs Jiath again.
....he is definitely seeing the upsides of this telepathy thing.
Also she gives good hugs. He should get Siurek one of her, somehow. Siurek needs a lot of hugs.
"Wow, I hope there aren't more of me, my life is not the sorta thing you need lots of around."
Lyrame joins this hug.
...that's really sad.
(He wants a hug too.)
Beka leaves Jiath to Lyrame and goes to hug Kidazi.
Lyrame considers this, and then drags Jiath over to the Beka-and-Kidazi hug, so that everyone can have more hug.
He is eminently draggable when there are hugs involved.
"Are you okay?" Lyrame asks Kidazi.
He moved a whole pile with his thoughts.
"–uh. Yeah. I'm okay."
This is more people than have touched him in a really long time!
Lyrame is surprisingly skilled at hugging, particularly in a group context. Possibly this is on account of being the oldest of three siblings.
He looks gratefully at Beka and then endeavors via skilled ragdolling to collapse the whole group hug to the ground.
Down they go! Whee!
Lyrame giggles and flops on Kidazi. "I'm beginning to see why he likes you."
"What, because I'm bad at standing up?"
"No, because you're silly and cute and spontaneous."
He's pretty sure it was how much he wants to be tortured, but he'll take it.
"I got his attention by throwing flower petals at him."
"...no shit? I hit him in the head with an acorn."
