Klara and Mal meet in SWTOR

Her father did always warn her that curiousity would be her undoing. But hearing the call, tasting that power- It was a temptation unlike any other.

Malora squinted up at the temple, the entrance old, worn-down, but beautiful nonetheless. Her mother would snort, turn away. Her father would stare at it like it was the enemy. Malora gathers up her courage and ventures in.

Everything about it sang at her to be touched, to be felt. She reached out with her hands and her mind as she walked down, savouring the rush of power over her, careful not to take it, only appreciate it. The carvings were exquisite, but Malora was no archaeologist. She cared not for the history or the meaning behind them, only for the flood of energy that electrified her very veins.

"I'm sure there was a minute or two at the beginning of time."

“I wasn’t there, so I cannot pass judgement on that,” Malora smiles.

She taps the door thoughtfully. “Do you want to stay in there?”

"Not for another moment. But whether you should free me..."

“High cost?”

"That's one part of it. The other part, the largest, is my family. And my enemies. Maybe one in the same."

"Me and my family are pretty good at hiding."

She smiles at the girl softly, rapidly becoming fond.

"Are you sure you want to make this decision for your whole family?"

"Well, mum would say no, because she's overprotective. Dad will say no because he's done the whole bound-to-a-Force-ghost thing and wouldn't recommend it. I'm saying yes because I am endlessly curious about how you got to be so powerful without picking a side."

"You're brave. But also very reckless. Very much like myself when I was alive."

"I take after my parents that way. They wish I hadn't combined them like this, but hey. Their fault really."

"We all take after our parents. Most times in not so flattering ways."

"Much to their great dismay, and our unending pleasure."

"Do you know much about these protections? Or should we settle in for a lesson in breaking them."

"Hmmm." Malora pressed her hands against the door, and breathed.

Then let the Force flow through her, around her, the memories of the place, of the world around it-

"Oh. Well. That's barbaric."

"Maybe a little before your time. Archaic, maybe."

"Archaic, barbaric, either way its 'binding the spirit within to a Force-sensitive being' by combining their souls to one. With blood."

"Well, let's fix it then."

"I imagine that would be a long and lengthy process. I propose that we follow the doors instruction, and-"

Mal takes a small knife from her boot. "-I just bind you to me."

"That's... a very big decision."

"I should've known. You're afraid of commitment?"

Mal laughs. "Come on, baby, I'm only asking for forever!"

If she could blush she would definitely be doing that right now.

"I meant that you don't know me and forever is a long time to have this sort of regret."

“Regret is a powerful emotion. Rage, love, devastation, elation. Doesn’t matter where the power comes from, as long as you don’t let it consume you.”

"If you're sure, little Jedi."

"I'm no Jedi."

Malora slices along her hand, and presses it to the door.

There is a shuddering, a groaning, and the blood flows across the design on the door, lighting it up red.
