"Really? I'm impressed. I'll need to arrange a landing permit, you don't want to get shot down, but that should be fine. You'll need to meet someone there then."
"Sure. Do you normally shoot at unfamiliar things that enter your airspace?"
"No, but you will be going to the capitol and I'm assuming you won't look like a lost plane."
"Nope, shuttle doesn't look very planar at all."
Elizabeth readies a notepad and a pen.
Cam makes her a little scale model, just about pendant-sized.
Elizabeth carefully picks it up, grinning.
"That's really quite impressive. Thank you."
"Do you have any preference for who you want to work with? I have several colleagues I could recommend to meet you."
"Well, obviously I don't know any names to name. What sort of criteria are available to pick from?"
"What type of person do you work best with? I have a colleague who is a bit of a perfectionist, she is very practical and efficient, but isn't the warmest person. I have another who is very good at getting things done, but his pushiness rubs some people the wrong way."
"I can get along with a wide variety of people as long as they have compatible goals and we probably shouldn't be optimizing for my social life here. 'Pushy' could be bad if he reacts inopportunely to being told to quit it."
"I want to find someone you can work with effectively. He has trouble toning it down, but he can do it."
"Honestly since I've been here the best predictor on how well I get along with people is whether they agree with me on the demons thing."
"I'll run it by a few people, see how they react."
"Would you want to leave tomorrow? The day after?"
"My schedule's in kind of a shambles since the disaster - I can fit it in either day."
"Better make it the day after. Everyone is likely to want to voice their opinion."
"So, if you have time, I'd like to understand a little more about these creatures. It seems most of my assumptions about magic are incorrect. Do you know how magicians capture them? Are they inherently opposed to humans? Is there a safe way to release them?"
So Cam summarizes demons for her.
"Thank you. That was very helpful. Should I send you a message, or do you want to come to the embassy?"
"Sending me a message is easy, just title something 'letter to Cam' and I can conjure it up next time I check my mail."
Elizabeth pays the bill and says her goodbyes.
