He sighs, shifts the position of one of the shoulder-children, and then sets off towards the building, children in tow.

DZ follows.

Deskyl is methodical about clearing out the rest of the building; she seems to be enjoying it a little less now.

The guards seem to enjoy it about the same amount.

(It is not a very large amount.)

Soon enough she finds the record room.

It's staffed by prisoners -- hungry-looking women grimly focused on miscellaneous bureaucratic tasks: adding columns of figures in a large book, shuffling through a card catalogue, writing on a blackboard on the wall. The one guard looks painfully bored.

Briefly painfully bored, once she gets to him - she does pull him out into the hallway first - and then she waves Jean and DZ in and takes up a guard position just outside the door.
